Grizzly bear petition for local residents

We are urging residents of Okanogan and Chelan counties who want to see grizzly bears restored to the North Cascades to sign this petition and demonstrate local support.

After more than a year of inactivity, the National Park Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service reopened the public comment period for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for grizzly bear restoration until October 24, 2019.

All comments submitted in 2017 are still being considered, but we encouraged supporters, especially locals, to submit another comment to show the federal agencies the strong local support Eastern Washington residents have for North Cascades grizzly bear recovery!

We’re also sharing a petition for residents of Okanogan, Chelan and other counties neighboring the North Cascades to express support. View comments from the 200+ residents who have signed the letter here.

If you live in the area, please read and sign our petition below! You can also view it as a PDF.

Residents of other neighboring counties and areas in and around the North Cascades are also welcome to sign this letter.
