The North Cascades have long been a sanctuary for Washington’s incredible wildlife, including the iconic grizzly bear. Once a vital part of this ecosystem, grizzlies have been missing for far too long. Now, we have a chance to change that!
Right now, an outdated state law from the 1990s prevents the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) from helping to restore this endangered species. HB1825 will remove that roadblock, allowing Washington to play a key role in bringing grizzlies back to their rightful home.
